  • Dr.
    Brian Hafernick

    Dr. Hafernick is a Lufkin native. He earned his Doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 2012. 

    He also completed a bachelor’s degree in biology from SFA in 2008 and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Texas A&M in 2005. After completing his veterinary degree, he practiced for one year in Brenham, Texas as a mixed animal veterinarian.

    Dr. Hafernick moved back to his hometown of Lufkin in 2013. He always knew he wanted to return to Lufkin to live and raise his family. When Dr.Hafernick isn’t working on animals, he enjoys building projects, cooking bbq, golfing, hunting, taking care of his horses and cattle, and mostly spending time with his family. He is married to Angela Caskey Hafernick and they have two children, Gibson and Annie. They are members of Carpenter’sWay Baptist Church where they serve in the preschool children’s ministry.

  • Viki Lozano

    Viki has worked as the receptionist at Pineywoods Veterinary Clinic since February of 2000. Ever since her mom brought “Fox” the cat home from the vet after being stitched up, Viki wanted to work with animals she has done so for over thirty years and still loves it. She believes in a strong work ethic and that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. She has seen many changes over the years, especially in how we regard our pets as family. She and her husband have two dogs, Mika and Spatz and a kitten named Kitty, who was found in a waste bin. Together they have four children and nine grandchildren.

  • Aubrie Torres

    Aubrie joined our team at Pineywoods Veterinary Clinic in April of 2017. Her intense love for animals drew her towards a career as a veterinary technician. She strongly believes in treating every animal as if they were her own by giving them the best care possible. 

    She is married to Alfred and has two kids, Payton and Kailee. She especially enjoys raising her house full of fur babies, Jasmine, Toot, Milo, Charlie, and Meow.

  • Kamerin Fulcher

    Kamerin joined our team in May 2019; she has worked as a veterinary technician since 2012. She excels in phlebotomy skills and wants to make the animals as comfortable as possible while they are here. She is always happy to answer any questions and give practical advice to maximize your pet's health. 

    She is married to Mark, and they have a son, Case. They have two dogs Darla and Bailey and a flock of turkeys.
