Dr. Brian Hafernick
Dr. Hafernick is a Lufkin native. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Texas A&M University in 2012. He also completed a bachelor’s degree in biology from SFA in 2008 and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas A&M in 2005. After completing his veterinary degree, he practiced for one year in Brenham, Texas as a mixed animal veterinarian. Dr. Hafernick moved back to his hometown of Lufkin in 2013. He always knew he wanted to return to Lufkin to live and raise his family. When Dr. Hafernick isn’t working on animals, he enjoys building projects, cooking BBQ, golfing, hunting, taking care of his horses and cattle, and mostly spending time with his family. He is married to Angela Caskey Hafernick and they have two children, Gibson and Annie. They are members of Carpenter’s Way Baptist Church where they serve in the preschool children’s ministry.
Viki has worked as the receptionist at Pineywoods Veterinary Clinic for over fifteen years. Ever since her mom brought “Fox” the cat home from the vet after being stitched up, Viki wanted to work with animals. She has done so for nearly thirty years and still loves it. She believes in a strong work ethic and that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and compassion. She has seen many changes over the years, especially in how we regard our pets as family. She and her husband have two dogs, Mika and Spatz. Together they have four children and nine grandchildren.
Amie has worked at Pineywoods Veterinary Clinic for over ten years. Amie has over twelve years of experience as a veterinary technician. She excels at making sure the animals are handled in a comfortable and safe manner. She is always happy to answer questions and give practical advice to maximize your pet’s health. She is married to Quinton and they have two girls, Grace and Emma. She has several dogs and cats and loves all animals.
Jessica has worked at Pineywoods Veterinary Clinic for almost three years. Having such a love for animals, it was an easy choice for her to work in the veterinary field. Jessica enjoys the unique challenge that being a veterinary technician provides. She is especially skilled at keeping the animals as calm as possible and making sure they are comfortable. Jessica has four fur-kids, Stryker, Lexi, Trixie and Vivi.
